We improve at whatever it is we do consistently. So I’ve been trying to figure out what it is each day that I’d like to do. I think it boils down to these things:
- Exercise + Meditation + Stretching
- Yard work
- Walk the dog
- Clean
- Make videos
- Some kind of relationship focused thing. That could include letters to friends, or a project for the wife
- Some kind of educational time/learning
So I’ve got a rough schedule during my July sabbatical which looked like:
Mornings –
7am – Emma up, feed
8am – breakfast
9 – drop off Emma, walk kalbi
9:30 – office time – emails and work business, or pre-pro for days shoot
11am – exercise
12 – shower, meditate, lunch/learning time
1pm – video or paid work
5pm dinner
6pm – pick up emma, play time, dinner
7pm – clean up kitchen
7:45 – walk w/kalbi and emma
8:30 – bath and final feed/put Emma down
Afternoons – video work
