Thao’s family flew into LA for a pre-tet/lunar new year get-together. We shared a rental home with 4 babies and 2 grandmas, and spent most days visiting various Vietnamese restaurants and shops, working around the baby’s schedules.
I don’t find time with them “fun,” but I do find it fulfilling. Like getting to eat food when you are hungry. And I am grateful to be able to be of service, to be useful.
